The 17th Annual Recruitment and Retention Conference has come and gone. Thank you to everyone who joined together to benchmark, network, and learn together when it comes to the challenges of recruiting and retaining drivers in today’s market.
The final day of the conference kicked off with the annual Transport Topics Recruiting Professional of the Year Award. The top recruiting professionals came together to host a panel discussing strategy and innovation they implemented in 2019 to support their recruitment and retention goals. Congratulations to Tim Norlin from Roehl Transport on winning the award this year!
The last general session, called “Recruiting & Retention Networking Roundtable,” moderated by Erin Young, VP Client Services for Conversion Interactive Agency, was an excellent opportunity for attendees to collaborate and discuss topics relating to driver recruiting and retention with industry peers. The networking roundtable was a great opportunity for brainstorming and networking for attendees.
After the general sessions came to a close, attendees had the opportunity to attend the final breakout sessions of the day. In Workshop 13, called “Industry Outlook: The Race to Autonomous Trucks & The Impact on Drivers,” expert Seth Clevenger, managing editor of technology & features for Transport Topics, shared facts around the highly speculated arrival of autonomous trucks and the impact it will have on the industry.
The Recruitment and Retention Conference would not have been possible without our incredible lineup of speakers, panelists, and moderators. We would also like to thank our many sponsors for your continued support of the R&R Conference. Thank you to our Diamond sponsors DriverReach, Hiremaster, Talroo, TruckersReport.com, TruckRight, ZipRecruiter and Gold sponsors Driver iQ and WEX/EFS. A special thank you to Transport Topics and American Trucking Associations for co-hosting another outstanding conference with Conversion. We hope to see you at the 18th Annual Recruitment and Retention Conference in 2021!
