Our R&R Conference Was a Surge of Innovation!

As the 22nd Annual Recruitment & Retention Conference comes to a close, we take a moment to reflect on three inspiring days filled with learning, networking, and forward-thinking innovation. This year’s theme, Surge, sparked powerful conversations, cutting-edge technology insights, and practical strategies for industry leaders striving to elevate their hiring and retention efforts.
The final day included a collaborative Networking Roundtable, where industry leaders shared real-world solutions for attracting and retaining top drivers. Conversations spanned a range of critical topics, from the adoption of AI on recruitment processes to optimizing digital advertising for driver outreach, and the importance of building a strong employer brand.
Breakout sessions filled the day, offering a range of topics tailored to today’s most pressing challenges. ‘The Recruiting Exchange’ provided an interactive space for recruiters to collaborate on best practices, while an ‘Employment Law Update’ covered the critical impacts of pay transparency and EEOC regulations on driver hiring. Those looking to build stronger teams joined ‘Building a High-Performing Recruiting Team’, where panelists shared frontline insights, while ‘The Real Price of Driver Turnover’ explored the latest retention strategies to protect the bottom line.
Of course, no recap of this year’s conference would be complete without mentioning Thursday night’s All-Star After Party! Hosted at Barstool Sports in downtown Nashville—just a block off Broadway—the night was filled with great food, live music, and a packed dance floor! It was the perfect way to unwind, celebrate, and build relationships with industry peers before diving into our final day of learning.
As attendees head back to their companies, we encourage them to put their newfound knowledge into action—implementing the strategies, tools, and best practices shared throughout the conference. Recruitment and retention are constantly evolving, and those who embrace innovation and change will lead the way in the trucking industry.
A huge thank you to our sponsors, speakers, and attendees for making this year’s event such a success. We appreciate your commitment to pushing the industry forward, and we can’t wait to see you all again next year for the 23rd Annual Recruitment & Retention Conference in Nashville!
