It’s hard to believe that another Recruitment & Retention Conference has come and gone. Thank you to everyone who attended this year. We hope you enjoyed meeting other industry professionals and learning more about the industry’s changing landscape when it comes to drivers, recruitment and retention efforts.
The second day of the conference began this morning with two general sessions. In the first session, we had the opportunity hear from the top three nominees for this year’s Transport Topics Recruiting Professional of the Year Award. It was interesting to learn about the strategies and innovations each of these nominees implemented in 2018 to support their recruitment and retention goals. Congratulations to Rochel Lovell with Milan Supply Chain Solutions on winning the award this year!
In the last general session, attendees participated in a networking roundtable discussions kicked off by Erin Young, vice president of client services for Conversion Interactive Agency. This gave attendees the opportunity to network with other recruiting professionals and discuss various driver recruiting and retention topics that have weight in todays’ market.
After the general sessions, we closed the conference with a final breakout session. This provided attendees with the ability to check out a breakout session they may have missed yesterday. Repeat workshops included: “How Technology & Innovation are Making it Easier to Recruit and Retain Drivers”, “Building a Social Media Footprint Dramatically Impacts Your Driver Recruiting & Retention”, “Evaluating the Driver Perspective: What Matters to Drivers?”, and “A Full Driver App is Yesterday’s Golden Nugget: Why Digital Short Forms are Today’s Treasure in Driver Recruiting”.
The 16th Annual Recruitment & Retention Conference wouldn’t have been possible without all of our fantastic speakers, panelists and moderators. We also want to thank our many sponsors for their continued support. Our sponsors this year included AllTruckJobs.com; American Driver Network; Appcast; Asurint; CDL Life; CDL Marketing; Digital Management Team; DriverFACTS; Driver iQ; DriverReach; EBE, Inc.; EpicVue; FATj.com; HireMaster; HireRight; Indeed; Luma; Professional Driver Agency; Randall-Reilly Publishing Company; Sirius XM Radio; Stay Metrics; Talroo; TruckDrivingJobs.com; TruckersReport; and TruckRight. A special thanks to Transport Topics and the American Trucking Associations for presenting this outstanding conference with us. Thank you again to everyone who made this conference an incredible success. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for next year!
