BRENTWOOD, TENN., October 1, 2020ConversionU (training division of Conversion Interactive Agency), the American Trucking Associations (ATA), and Transport Topics announced today that registration is now open for the eighteenth annual Recruitment and Retention Conference. The event is scheduled for February 24-26, 2021 at the Renaissance Hotel in Nashville, Tenn.

“How we recruit and retain drivers in today’s market is constantly changing, so as an industry we have to be focused on what’s next,” said Kelley Walkup, president and CEO of Conversion Interactive Agency. “The 2021 Recruitment & Retention Conference is focused on providing content that challenges, informs and provides networking opportunities for attendees to learn new strategies and insight into how to better recruit and retain drivers. With the help of the industry leadership of ATA and Transport Topics, we’re building a great lineup of speakers and content for the upcoming conference to help equip recruiters in the trucking industry.”

The 2021 Recruitment and Retention Conference schedule includes general sessions and workshops from transportation industry experts and those who know and understand the challenges of recruiting and retaining drivers. Renowned speaker, Clint Pulver will share with attendees how adopting a “mentorship vs management” mentality of leadership in trucking can dramatically impact driver retention. Attendees will also hear from Chris Spear, president and CEO for the American Trucking Associations, who will shed light on what the industry faces in a post-COVID world when it comes to driver recruiting and retention.

Other topics on the agenda for the 2021 conference include workshops covering how leaders can support driver recruiter fatigue among their teams, a multi-generational driver panel, the impact the FMCSA’s Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse is having on the industry, and a networking roundtable discussion where attendees can collaborate on a variety of topics related to recruiting and retention. “These sessions and workshops are put together in an effort to be sure attendees leave with valuable information and action items to put in place at their carrier,” added Walkup.
