Truck drivers deserve to be appreciated every day, but especially during the week of September 11-17, 2022. National Truck Driver Appreciation Week is where carriers can recognize their drivers for their hard work and dedication.

Every year, these hard-working professional drivers keep our industry rolling. They are the reason every shelf in the grocery store is stocked and the reason you get your packages delivered right to your doorstep. There are many reasons to celebrate and show truck drivers the appreciation they deserve.

Driving a truck can be a difficult career. One of the biggest sacrifices drivers make is being away from their family for long periods of time. Some will drive locally, and won’t be gone for long periods of time, but many over-the-road truck drivers can be gone for weeks at a time. This takes away those special moments in their lives. For example, they miss their kids’ sporting events, or even prom. They can’t come home after a long day on the road and spend quality time with their spouse. It’s just them and their truck.

While there are some downsides to being a truck driver, it can also be very rewarding. Those who are a part of this industry have a strong passion for what they do. It’s important to recognize all the hard work your drivers put in day in and day out.
